Aberystwyth Printmakers

Since February 2015, I have been a member of the ‘Aberystwyth Printmakers’. It wasn’t until last Friday that I finally managed to step inside their workshop.

Their workshop is run on a volunteer basis, within a University owned building called the ‘Old College’. I met with Ali Greeley, the supervisor for the day and a fellow member.

“It’s criminal not to use it.”

And she’s right. Stepping into the hall and seeing the workshop door open, letting light flood out, put a huge smile on my face. I can’t describe the feeling that being in a print studio gives me. It’s like being home, somewhere you know you belong.

After-note:

Stumbled upon this little historical gem, in a local antique shop. A postcard of (what is now) the ‘Old College’, Aberystwyth.
